27 weeks

Here is a new picture of the belly! I feel so blessed to have had a healthy pregnancy so far. I am still feeling great! I think my appetite has kicked up a notch! I feel like I am constantly eating something (trying to stick to the fruit and veggies, but that isn't always the case!). My favorite time of the day is at night after I have eaten dinner and I am sitting in the recliner relaxing. Hayden goes crazy! I love it!!

Crazy news in our life...lots of people have asked if I have Hayden's nursery ready. Well, the answer is no. Reality...we are currently in the process of moving. We moved a lot of our stuff last weekend and plan to move the rest this weekend. We have sold our house (well hopefully...we close on Monday), and we are moving back to my brother's apartment. It is a metal building with living quarters in it. It is has the bedroom, living room, and kitchen in all one room. We lived there when we moved from Rockwall before we bought this house. So, we plan on living there and building a new home by my parents. Unfortunately, it will not be ready before Hayden gets here, but I think it will be ok! Hayden will just be really close to his Mommy and Daddy!

24 week check up

I had my 24/25 week check up on Jan. 12th. This might have been the best one of all! After going to get the glucose test done and seeing my doctor, I went to get another sonogram! This time, I was able to have my mom come with me to all my appointments. What a difference five weeks makes!!! Hayden actually looked like a precious little baby!! We got to see all the body parts again! Everything was much easier to see and much more defined (and looking perfect as they said). At the end, we were sitting there watching him and he waved his toes at us while stretching them out. Then, he stretched his upper turso and got all settled in. Mom was crying watching him. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen!!! Luckily I got to share the video with Jeff that night. Truly something I will never forget!

Hayden was measuring about a week ahead and was said to have weighed 1 lb 12 oz. He is a growing boy!! I can't wait to have him here!

End of the season deer hunt...well, accident

The last weekend of deer season, Jeff and I had gone to some friends house in Forney. We were in Jeff's big Dodge truck and I was driving us home about 10:45 that evening on I-20 between Terrell and Wills Point. We were driving along and all of a sudden I saw a deer running from the center median toward the highway. All I could do was scream like a girl, because I knew what was about to happen. Sure enough, the deer hit the front fender and drivers side door as I was driving about 70 mph. It was like something from a movie. It seemed like it was in slow motion and there was nothing I could do about it. So, I pulled over in the ditch and tried to get out to assess the damage. Sure enough, I couldn't open my door. So, Jeff checked it out as best we could to make sure the truck was still drivable. It was. So, we backed up to make sure the deer was off the highway and would not cause any more wrecks. What a blessing...it was! I was in the right lane when it hit and the deer landed on the left shoulder.

Luckily we were both ok, just about $3,000 worth of damage to Jeff's truck. I guess you could say I got one last deer for the season, a 6 point, something I hope never happens again.
