Hayden’s Thanksgiving Feast

On Thursday, we had our Thanksgiving Feast at Preschool.  Of course I was balancing coordinating it all and still being a Mommy.  But, it was a lot of fun!

All the parents provided different things for our feast.  I had a couple of Moms make a couple of these cute little guys.  They were the hit of the party!

I found this super cute and FREE printable to make our cupcake toppers, banner, drink labels, etc.

We had over 100 people!

Nana was able to come too.  She brought yummy sweet potatoes.  She and Jeff helped me so much before and after the feast.  I AM SO THANKFUL!!!!

Here are some of our table decorations.  The four year old class made “thankful trees” that were precious but took A LOT of time!  I didn’t get a picture of them.  Sad smile You can kind of see it above my head in the picture above.

The kids performed 3 short songs and two of our four year olds said the Lord’s Prayer.  It was precious!

Can you see where our child stood?  In the back.  Covering his ears some of the time.  We had a few have a melt down when they saw their parents.  But, over all it was just so stinkin’ cute!

Hayden at school.

I think because I have the luxury of being with Hayden at school each Tuesday and Thursday, I kind of forget to blog about all that goes on with him at school.   I LOVE that I get to see him in action each day learning and playing with friends.  He has a precious teacher that he adores.   So, here is a little “catch up” on a few fun things going on at preschool.

All his sweet little friends in his class.  Wear RED day.

The firetruck came to visit.  Yep, our child is being held.  Posing for pictures with a group in a place out of his comfort zone isn’t his favorite thing.

Last week we went on a field trip to Yesterland Farms.  They enjoyed train rides, roller coasters, a petting zoo, rubber duck races, marshmallow roasting, pumpkins galore, and so much more!

Hayden’s First Day of Preschool-Age 3

It’s that time again.  Time for preschool to begin!

Hayden has spent a lot of time at the school with me (since I took the Director position) this summer plus it is at our church.  So, he felt pretty comfortable with going to the church/school already.  But, that didn’t keep him from having small breakdown right before time to go to class.  Isn’t this sad?

Lucky for us, he has an amazing teacher and it didn’t take long for him to get adjusted and feel right at home with his friends.

I loved getting to watch him in action today as I peeked in his classroom window.  He would just wave at me in the hallway.  And of course, some times he wanted to come with me when he saw me.  I’m sure that will just take some time.

Hayden came home with a precious treat bag that was perfect for after school!

Over all, we had a fabulous first day!

End of Preschool 2011-2012 (Part 2)

This morning Hayden had his Spring Preschool Program.  I was praying that Hayden wouldn’t cry and refuse to stand on stage.  But, he did great in front of the crowd.

They “sang” four songs.  R-E-D, ABC song, Jesus Loves Me, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.   I say “sang” loosely because Ms. Jen pretty much did all the singing.  It was so funny!

Hayden didn’t want to sit down.  Not a rule follower this time.  Ha!

Each class sang four songs and received their certificates.  Ms. Jen ended with a sweet slideshow she made with pictures from throughout the year.

Sweet, Sweet Friends!  I am so thankful for Amy’s friendship.  I love that our boys get to grow up together!
