Remember this?

Do you remember this golf cart?  I got for my birthday a couple of years ago?

Well, Jeff’s Daddy got it and made it look “new” again!  Doesn’t it look awesome?

Our week in review!

Long time, not post.  Again.  I just realized that Hayden hadn’t had his picture taken in over a week until today.  That is just crazy in itself.   Ha!

Our Mother’s Day was good!  Jeff let me sleep in and cooked breakfast.  We missed Sunday School but made it to church and I was so glad that Mom and Robin joined us!  Dad was out of town, so they even joined us for lunch at the Smith’s!  After a yummy “cook-out” lunch made by Lulu, Hayden and I came home and took a nap while Jeff got a few things done.  That night, Mom, Robin, and I went to the movies to see Something Borrowed.    Such a cute movie!  I love Emily Giffin’s books and loved the movie too!  I couldn’t tell you the last time I went to the movies.  We even got popcorn, cokes, and milk duds!  What a treat!!!!

Monday, Jeff played in the Guns and Hoses golf tournament that benefits families of fallen fire fighters and police officers.  Hayden and I just hung out at home Monday and Tuesday (as far as I can remember).  Of course, we have our daily visits with Nanny and Granddaddy!  We are so lucky to get to see them almost every day!

Wednesday, Mom, Hayden, and I did a little shopping.  Then, Jen, Hudson, and Landree came over to visit for a little bit that afternoon and endured the stormy weather with us!  (YES, they are in town.  We are so excited!)  I think the kids were so excited to see each other!  Hudson enjoyed splashing in the water after the rain.   He is the only one that got his picture taken that afternoon.  No doubt there will be a lot more over the next several weeks!  :-)

Then, Hayden spent the evening with his Nanny and Granddaddy while I went to a meeting at church.  He got to bed late that night and I thought for sure he would sleep in on Thursday morning.  WRONG!  :-)

Thursday, we just hung out at home except to go to the post office, grocery store, and Sonic to get  a “tea”.  This is Hayden’s new request.  He. is. not. spoiled.  HA!  Thursday night, Nana came to hang out with Hayden while I went to Robin’s academic banquet.  I am so glad I was able to go.  I still can’t believe this Senior year is coming to and end.  Just yesterday she was sleeping on my chest.  Thank you Nana for coming to watch Hayden!!

A few pictures from the evening…

I was so sad that I didn’t get a picture of Robin with Mom and Dad.  Carla, why didn’t we get a picture of the girls together?  We must do this at Graduation!

Today, another day at home!  We did venture out to the post office again and then spent some time at Nanny and Granddadys….

Playing basketball with the volleyball.

Looking at bugs “bees”.  Every bug is a “bee” to Hayden.

Going on 4wheeler rides to check the trail camera with Granddaddy.  Dad said that Hayden “found” the throttle today (it was in neutral) when Dad was opening a gate.  Oh dear!

Riding the pedal firetruck.

(I think this old pedal firetruck would make for some GREAT pictures!)

And…jumping with Aunt Robin.

Hayden is really trying hard to learn to jump. He is getting better by the day!  We are actually clearing the ground now!

Hope you have a good weekend!

Saturday. Past and Present.

Saturday.  THE PAST.  Last week.

Last Saturday we went to our friend Payton’s 2nd Birthday Party.  It was a Minnie Mouse, zebra print, and pink and white polka dot themed party.  It was absolutely precious!  They had hot dogs and all the fixin’s, yummy fruit, Mickey/Minnie Mouse Chicken Nuggets, chips and Kristin’s yummy dips for everyone to eat.    And of course, yummy cake!!  Look at this cute cake!   I think Payton might or might not have taste tested the icing before the party.  Ha!

DSC_0399

And those Minnie Mouse chocolate suckers were so stinkin’ cute and Hayden thought they were delicious too!

DSC_0406

This boy was loving him some Capri Sun too!

I think sweet Payton was a little shy when everyone was singing to her but she got so excited opening her gifts.  I just love that those girls (Payton, Parker, and Grace) were all coordinating and and so stinkin’ cute!  Their momma’s, Kristin and Marla, have an etsy shop if you want to check it out!

Hayden thought he would sit back, relax, and take it all in!

Hayden loved Payton’s new playhouse.  He was so excited about it!   So was she!!DSC_0413 DSC_0415

I did not do a great job of getting pictures at the party. But, you should definitely go check out Kristin’s blog to see everything from the party!  Everything was just perfect!  Thank ya’ll for having us!!

Saturday, THE PRESENT.  Today.

This morning, I woke up bright and early (minus the bright at 5:00 AM), to head to the Komen Race for the Cure in Tyler with my mother in law Corene , sister in laws Sherry and Yolanda, and my niece Brooklyn.  We had so much fun!  I haven’t done a Komen walk since I was pregnant with Hayden and participated in the 3 day event with Jen.  We used to do the Komen walk in Dallas and the one in Tyler every year.  It was good to be back this year walking for my Momma, Mother in Law, and my Aunt Mary Helen!

After we walked around gathering  our beads, free pens, and fans, Brooklyn and I hung out at the 5k finish line for a little while waiting and “cheering” everyone on (i.e. people watching).  There were A LOT of 5k runners from all ages and walks of life.  Really, quite fun to watch.

brooklyn

Brooklyn got her a medal for doing the kids 50 yard dash!  We were so proud of her!

Brooklyn and Nana stayed at the finish line while us girls did that 1 mile walk.  I think we started to break a sweat at the end.  That’s hard work you know.  ;-)  The best secrets are told during that 20 minute walk.  :-)  Love these girls!

Last night was Hayden’s first time to stay the night away from home without Jeff or I.  I didn’t get home until really late from a Thirty-One Party and Jeff had to work.  So, Hayden hung out with his Nanny, Granddaddy, and Aunt Robin.  I would say he did well.  I was really torn on whether I should take him today but I have to say I am really glad I didn’t.   Thank you Nanny, Granddaddy, and Aunt Robin!!!

PS…we just hit over 45,000 “hits” on our blog since right before Hayden was born.  Thank you to all our loyal followers.  And new ones too!  Welcome!  ;-)

Gone Muddin’

DSC_0408 Hayden had the time of his life today.  Doing what?  Spending his entire day outside!  He rode the lawn mower, the tractor with both his Daddy and Granddaddy, pushed his lawn mower, rode his 4wheeler, played in the rain, and went muddin’.

When playing outside, Hayden likes to ride his 4 wheeler.

DSC_0437 DSC_0438

But…he LOVES to push this lawn mower around.  No doubt he has put many miles on the mower!  One of the best purchases from Good Samaritans!

Oh me…

DSC_0434

He thought playing in the water puddles was kind of fun too.  He liked picking those nasty bugs out of there too!

Got a little wet from the rain!

DSC_0402

Lucky for us, we got a lot of our outside work done before it started to rain.  Jeff got the yard (weeds) mowed,  dirt spread around the house, and our our garden spot plowed and ready for a “garden” soon!

DSC_0400

And just so I don’t forget…Hayden can now say all the grandparent’s names.  Hayden has said Nana and Nanny for quite some time.  But, he recently started saying “Da-Day” for Granddaddy about a week ago.  Tonight, when we went over to Nana and PaPa’s, Hayden started saying PaPa.  Jeff and I just looked at each other.  That was the first time we heard him say it!  Makes us happy and I am pretty sure it makes all the grandparents happy too!  :-)

Our Valentines Day 2011

Today, for Valentines Day, we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and spent most of our day outside.  Jeff and I cleaned up vehicles and around outside and Hayden played.  He was one happy boy!

DSC_0331

He has just figured out how to climb up the ladder to get into the “fort” and slide down on his own with confidence and end up on his feet.

DSC_0316 DSC_0317

He played with his wind chime that his Nana and PaPa got him for Christmas.   Hayden always loves to play with their wind chimes, so they thought he needed one of his own!

DSC_0319

He loves to carry sticks around and this one is a favorite of his!

He pushed his tricycle.

He rode his tricycle.  He is so close to being able to pedal on his own!

And…he rode his 4Wheeler.

DSC_0334

He also rode the 4Wheeler with his Granddaddy (Boo on me for not taking  a picture).  We were all (Jeff, Granddaddy, Hayden, and I) were all going to ride our Ranger to work on the deer stand by our house.  Hayden insisted on riding Granddaddy’s 4Wheeler.  So, guess what?  He got to ride the 4Wheeler with his Granddaddy.  That boy is so spoiled!  Ha!  He LOVES riding the 4Wheeler with his Granddaddy and the tractor with is Granddaddy and his PaPa.  Those are definitely two of his favorite things to do!

We did take a lunch break and went to eat yummy Mexican food at Monroy’s (a local place).  We enjoyed some beef fajitas that were oh so yummy!!  They{in our opinion} really have the best fajitas that we have ever had!

Nanny and Granddaddy came over tonight and surprised Hayden with a “heart” balloon and a Sonic Gift Card.  I told you he was spoiled.  What other one year old do you know that gets a Sonic Gift Card for a gift?  Ha!

Tomorrow we are getting Hayden’s hair cut for the first time.  I have so many mixed emotions about it.  At times, his hair is so curly and I love it.  Other times it is straight as a board and sticks out on the side like Bozo the Clown.  So sad.  Anyway, we just feel like it is time for a little trim.  I hope it goes ok.   I AM SO NERVOUS!

Hope you had a great Valentines Day!  Time to go relax and watch my favorite show…The Bachelor!
