DSC_0199

This morning, Hayden and I headed out for another fun day with friends…swimming!

We met Kristin and Payton…

Then, we enjoyed our picnic lunch.  Hayden loved his lunch.  Or, the chips I packed and the Oreo's that Kristin gave him.   What else are you supposed to eat poolside besides junk?

After lunch,  Hayden decided he wanted to get brave!  He was just floating around taking it easy.  I was really proud of how well he did getting back to the steps or side of the pool.

We came home from swimming and took a 45 minute nap only to get up and head out for our third day of swim lessons.  He did much better yesterday than the first day.  But, cried for about 20 minutes today at the beginning of our lesson.  Maybe he was just tired of swimming.  But, we got back in the swing of things and he finished out the last half of the lesson doing well.  He went under a few times today.  They had him go head first through a hula hoop that was on the surface of the water today.  A little scary for a momma, but he never cried once after going under water.

We had a long but super fun day of swimming.  I am pretty sure that it took Hayden about 2.2 seconds to go to sleep tonight.  Oh, and today was the second day of NO PACI!!!  Woot Woot!  He never mentioned it at all today except once right before bed.  We told him he was a big boy and didn’t need it any more.  He was fine with it!  Praise the Lord this has been much easier than I thought!

Have a great weekend!

Around The World Visiting Friends!

We have had such a fun day running around visiting friends!  This morning we headed out early to start our journey.  We were able to go see Kaci, Kade, and Baby Krew!  I didn’t take one single picture because I spent the whole hour loving on Krew.   He is just precious!  Of course, Hayden snuck in some sweet lovin’  on Baby Krew too!  Then, we met our friends Stacey and Cooper at the splash park in Rockwall.  We have been trying to get together for quite some time and we finally were able to make it happen today. Unfortunately, pretty much both boys wanted nothing to do with the splash park.  It was quite crowded and I don’t really blame them.  They didn’t have any trouble getting muddy, playing with sticks, and eating snacks!  We left there and enjoyed lunch at On The Border.  They gave Hayden a remote control police car for his birthday and of course he loved it!  He was beyond excited!

After lunch, we ran by Kristin’s to deliver some Thirty-One.   Hayden didn’t understand why we didn’t get to stay and play.  We will get to play with them on Friday.  YEA!  But today, we were on our way to go play with Kelly and Kaden.  Kelly’s time off is limited in the summer so we were anxious to have a chance to visit them.

Kaden and Hayden had a lot of fun playing with big trucks and trailers, riding on Kaden’s big truck, riding “Lucky” their huge play horse (not shown), dressing up like Cowboys, watching Kaden’s Bull Riding Video, and eating snacks and “pops”.

These next pictures crack me up.  Looks like they got caught doing something they shouldn’t.

Pop time!  Hayden’s second sucker of the day.  He actually got one from Stacey and Cooper too!  Wonder why he didn’t take a nap in the car today?  Could be the sweet tea at lunch and the two suckers?

Then….we headed for our first day of swim lessons that started at 5:15.  I have to admit, probably not the best day for Hayden to run around playing all day with no nap.  He had a few meltdowns before lessons started and even a couple during.  But, overall, I thought lessons went well.  I am anxious to see how tomorrow goes after a quiet day at home with hopefully a good nap!  :-)

Hayden and our friend Hudson…ready to swim!
