Getting back in the groove!

We had such a great time hanging out with our friends in South Carolina.  I don’t think I have ever laughed so much as I did while hanging out with Jen and Shauna!  We really didn’t do a whole lot (other than shop and eat out a few times) and it was so nice!  It was so fun to have “girl time” every night after the babies went to bed.  Last time when we were gone to SC, Jeff was studying for his sergeant's promotional exam and his mind was focused on that.  I think it was a little harder on him this time with his baby boy being gone a week.  We have spent the past few days enjoying time with Jeff and the rest of our family and getting back of the groove of being home after being gone.

I am so thankful we have gone from wearing this earlier in the week…

To being able to enjoy our days outside wearing shorts!  I am pretty sure I scared Jeff and Hayden with my white legs though!  Ha!  I didn’t take one picture the last couple of days of our time outside.  Hayden has loving being outside pulling and pushing his toys around, riding his 4 wheeler, riding the Ranger, and going on tractor rides with his Granddaddy.

Jeff had to get his cot out for his nephew this afternoon (to make sure it was all there) and Hayden could hardly wait to get on it! Hayden kept saying “night, night” while Jeff was putting it together.

After dinner, Hayden thought it would be fun to play with his stickers…

Aunt Robin and one of my twin nephews, Blaze (he was staying at Nanny and Granddaddy’s for the weekend), came over this evening too.   Hayden had the BEST time playing with him.  Blaze was such a great playmate too!  I am not sure who loves to read more, Blaze or Hayden?

Blaze is in 1st grade and is a great reader!  He is trying to get 100 Accelerated Reader points for the year so he can be “Principal for the Day”.  Right now he has 79 and he is so excited!  So proud of him!

Enjoy your weekend!  And…SPRING BREAK!

Hayden’s “2 Year” Pictures!

As I said last night, it was quite a bit harder to get Hayden to “pose” for pictures.  We got them done at an area called Sandhills in SC.  It was actually around the Ag Extension area.  They just happened to have tractors, dump trucks, old barns, fences, etc.  :-)  Right up our ally!  These pictures to me are “so him”.  They simply represent him so well!  Here some (Ok…A LOT) of my favs!

Low key days in SC!

The last couple of days have been pretty low key for us.  We did get out of the house yesterday afternoon and made it to the mall, Babies R Us, Olive Garden, and Coldstone for ice cream!  Today was church and a trip to Target, TJ Maxx, and Ross.

So sad that Shauna had to leave tonight.   We had so much fun all together.  It was nice to have an her to help with the babies too!   They all love her!  I am pretty sure Landree thinks that Shauna is her new BFF!  :-)

We also started our PW Cinnamon Rolls last night and finished them up this morning so we could have them for breakfast.  SO YUMMY!

This pictures cracks me up!  Landree is so funny!  I love those Cinderella gloves!

So excited that we get to pick up our CD of Hayden’s photo session tomorrow!  I will try to share a few of my favs tomorrow night!  I have already seen them online and I love how they turned out.  I can say it was a lot hard to get good shots this time, but I am very happy with them.  :-)

Best Friends

Today was picture day!  We got ready (it only took us about 5 hours) to get out the door!  Ha!  Really, for all of us to shower, get ready, eat lunch, pack all our stuff, etc…it took us forever!  We had every intention of getting away and shopping a little before Hayden’s pictures this evening.   Well, we made it to one store and then it was picture time!  We tried!  :-)

We had so much fun taking pictures though!  We asked Stacey to take some pictures of us girls, and they turned out so cute!  We LOVE them!  Don’t worry, the babies were ok.  They just played with, threw, and ate dirt.

We haven’t seen any of Hayden’s pictures yet, but Stacey posted a few of us girls on Facebook.  Love them!  Best friends are such a blessing !  And…SO MUCH FUN!

After pictures, we went to find somewhere to eat.  To our surprise, Shauna agreed to Five Guys Burgers and Fries!   Shauna has meat issues.  Ha!   She has not eaten any meat other than chicken and fish since 4th grade.  BUT, Shauna’s husband recently, after 10 years of persuasion, talked her into eating a Five Guys burger.  We got to witness it firsthand.  Definitely picture worthy!

Made it to SC! First day!

Hayden, Shauna, and I left early this morning to head to South Carolina!

photo[1]

Hayden did great!  Even getting up so early, taking no nap on the plane, and being a busy almost two year old.  I was so proud of him!

It was awesome having Shauna with us this time!  Hayden would go back and forth between us and it kept us all happy!  Unfortunately, Shauna is going home before us, so we will make the trip home…just the two of us.  :-)

Look at these boys!  They were so excited to see each other!  And…totally not planned…dressed alike! Shoes too!  So funny!

Here are a few pictures of our afternoon playing…

Hayden keeps going up to Hudson and hugging him and saying…you guessed it… “baby”.  Since Hudson is just as tall as Hayden.  Ha!

The laundry basket was a hit!  Don’t let Landree fool you.  She was being a faker.  :-)

We had a great evening at home.  The babies had so much fun playing and Jen cooked PW Chicken Spaghetti.  Yum!  Tomorrow, Stacey is taking Hayden’s 2 year pictures and we may do a little shopping too!

Kaden’s birthday party!

Because this is our scrapbook and I don’t want to forget things we do together or with our friends, I am not going to fret over this post being a month late!  I didn’t post immediately, because I wanted Kelly to be able to post first.  Then, I just didn’t get it done.  Better late than never in my opinion!  :-)

So, about a month ago (in the midst of the ice storm 2011) we went to Kaden’s 2nd birthday party!  We had three different events to attend that afternoon, but we weren’t gonna miss it!

DSC_0149

Kelly got this cake at Costco.  I am pretty sure it had about 5 lbs of icing/mousse inside.  It was really good!  And what 2 year old doesn’t love Mickey Mouse?  I know Hayden does!

Kaden is such a smart, fun-loving little boy!  Kelly and I became great friends in high school through FFA and I love that our boys are friends too!

Kaden started waiving to the “crowd” after being sung to.  So funny!

He also enjoyed playing with Kaden’s horse stable…

How do you like Kaden’s artwork on the wall?  :-)

Hayden loved (and still loves) this truck that they got him!  As a matter of fact, it is sitting right where Hayden left it this morning. On our entertainment center with the rest of his big trucks!

We had a great time and were so glad we could make it!
