Hayden’s 3rd Birthday was filled with family, friends, and fun.
Our festivities started the day before when Jeff made Hayden a sandbox while we were gone for a few hours. He was and is still so excited! He still says, “My Daddy made this sandbox for me.” So cute!
That night our friends Bo and Rhonda came to hang out with us and bring Hayden a very special present. I think they set out on an adventure to find something special for Hayden that has as many pieces in one box they can find. Ha!
We had such a fun time hanging out and putting together Hayden’s new Thomas the Train Mega Blocks train station. They are also avid bow hunters so after dinner we all took time to shoot our bows. Hayden had the best time watching and going to get our arrows for us. It’s the little things that makes him happy! Bo and Rhonda, thank ya’ll so much for coming and spoiling our boy!!
The next day was the big day! Hayden’s 3rd Birthday!!! Hayden was so excited about having a “train birthday”. That is what he has told us for a while that he wanted. We had a train birthday cake. That was about the extent of our theme.
I tried to create a railroad track on the floor. But, I think most people wondered what it was. Oh well. I tried.
After our family ate lunch, Hayden got to open a few presents early.
Hayden loved the cowboy hat but had no idea what else he was holding in his hand. But, he quickly found out! Thanks Uncle Mark! We will get you back!
Poor Lizzy…
Then, he got his special wagon from Nana and Papa. He LOVES it!
Can you tell? Ha! He really does love it. I can’t remember what was wrong with him here! Priceless picture though. Poor baby!
Cake time! We had cookies and cream cake like we had for his 1st birthday. So delicious!
Being shy while everyone sang Happy Birthday.
He needed a little help…
More presents to open! He had lots of help from his sweet friends!
Off to try out all the new toys outside!
One of my very favorite pictures of the day. Pure joy and sweet friends.
Hayden really loves his friends. He talks about them every day. He keeps saying, “Where’s them? Where’s my friends. They’re not here yet. Parker, Grace, Payton, they are not here yet.” I think he thinks he should have a birthday party every day. I don’t blame him. They are pretty fun. I love getting to hang out with friends and family!
These boys had the best time chasing bubbles and running and playing.
Sweet, sweet!
I will not smile for the camera. No, I will not. I do not like smiling for the camera…
After everyone left, we went to Mom and Dads to get our dogs. Hayden was laying there being silly and I was rubbing his head. He ended up falling asleep exactly like this. We had one tired baby.
Oh wait! There’s our smiling boy! Happy 3rd Birthday Hayden Luke. I hope your “train birthday” was special! We love you!!!
I wish I would have gotten pictures of everyone that came. I just didn’t. Boo! But, we so thankful for all our friends and family (even on a yucky weather day) who were able to make Hayden’s day extra special!
