Vacation-Pool Time!

The resort we stayed at in Galveston was called Diamond Beach.  It was recommended to us and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. 

The picture above is taken from the beach.  I can say that the beach area was not ideal (certainly not Jamaica or Mexico) but definitely did not keep us from enjoying our time there. 

The pool at our condo was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and definitely spoiled us for the future.  Not sure we will always be able to find a pool like this one!  Not only was it huge, there was hardly anyone at the resort until our last day.  And really, even then it was not crowded at all.  So nice!

Hayden fell in love with the pool too.  I am pretty sure he woke up every morning wondering when he would get to go swim!  

Hayden really got adventurous in the water.  He loved standing on the edge and jumping in.  I remember Barrett doing this last year and I didn’t think Hayden would be ready.  He proved me wrong!  :-)

      

I was so lucky and got to enjoy the pool everyday during nap time!  Jeff and I even got to enjoy it together during nap time one day too thanks to Aunt Robin!

Another awesome thing about our condo was the lazy river and the really cool slide.  We only got to enjoy the slide one day (no on duty life guards), but we made the most of it.  Well, Robin and I did.  Jeff tried it once and landed on his back on the bottom of the pool and decided not to try it again.  

It’s no wonder he hit the bottom.  What was he trying to do, a cannon ball?  He doesn’t follow directions.  No arms crossed.  No legs crossed. 

Robin looks like she was going to dance her way out of the slide or something.  Those are some new dance moves she learned.  Maybe she was just shielding the water. 

And then there is me.  Mrs. Rule Follower.  Still have my arms and legs crossed.  Although, it looks like I have devil horns.  Hmm…

So much fun.  That’s all I got to say about that!
