How was your weekend? Ours was good, but went too fast! Jeff had to work Friday, so we only had Saturday and Sunday together.
Friday, Hayden and I went to Wylie to visit The Barner’s. We had a quick lunch at Chiloso in Wylie while we were waiting for Amy.
We did a quick afternoon shopping trip to Firewheel to get Amy a bathing suit for our upcoming vacation to Gulf Shores. Oil or no oil….we are going and we are going to have fun!
Then, we came back to their house and had some play time/snack time for the boys! Hayden had so much fun throwing playing with Barrett’s hotwheels, barnyard animals, etc. Hayden would crawl up Barrett’s legs when he (Barrett) had something to drink or eat. It was so funny! B was so patient and such a good little friend.
Not the best quality because I was taking a picture of moving targets with my phone, but we were laughing at how B and H look like Mutt and Jeff. Barrett is 11 months older than Hayden. Barrett is so tall and I think Hayden might be a little on the short side. (I just Google’d Mutt and Jeff because I really had no idea what “Mutt and Jeff” actually were, but I have heard and used that slogan a thousand times. It’s from a comic strip if you didn’t know.)
Then, we all went to Cheddar’s for dinner. The boys did great and it was so yummy! (Jen, don’t be jealous that I ate at two of your favorites in one day! I will make it up to you soon!)
After dinner, Hayden and I had to make a pit stop at Target. We didn’t get home until after 10 that night, but Hayden was such a trooper and was so good all day! I think he only threw like two fits all day. Ha! :-) Really, he was such a good boy!
Saturday, Hayden took a long morning nap. Then, we ran to Emory to eat lunch at Lanny’s BBQ, do some errands, and see Hayden’s Nana and Papa. Then, back home for Hayden’s afternoon nap and Jeff washed the Jetta. We enjoyed some time on the back porch and cooked dinner on the grill (mesquite chicken and fresh red potatoes and squash from Jeff’s dad’s garden). Mom, Dad, and Robin joined us for dinner. Then, Dad and I went for a ride on the golf cart to go check on the cows and all the new baby calves.
We also had a little photo shoot on Saturday. Do not just love this onesie? Mia (Cindy) made if for Hayden and I just LOVE it!! Thanks Mia!
If you remember from this post we needed to get latches on our cabinet under the kitchen sink. I am happy to report that Jeff got that done with a little help.
Kristin, these pictures are for you. :-)
Jeff is not really holding the drill up to Hayden’s head. Camera optical illusion.
Taking a break to talk to Nana.
I could not help but laugh so hard. Hayden had the best time crawling all over his Daddy. He is such a good little helper.
On Sunday, we went to Church, then to Nana and Papa’s for pork chops and more yummy fresh veggies.
After lunch, we went to my twin nephew’s birthday party. They will turn 6 on June 14th. There were a lot of people. They boys seemed to have a blast. They had a new pool, a huge homemade slipping slide, a bounce house and TONS of food. I didn’t get many real pictures of the party, but I got a few of us hanging out enjoying the nice WARM weather! At least there was a slight breeze today.
Hanging out with his Granddaddy and Nanny. He loves to drink water out of his Nanny’s glass…or anyone’s glass that will let him. He LOVES ice too! (Stay tuned for the next video.)
Hayden was playing with the hammer while hanging out with the Stone girls. They were patiently waiting for their daddy to come back with their swimsuits.
Hmm, Mr. Johhny…I think I would like to play with your sunglasses!
We had one tired boy when we left the party. He fell asleep in the car in less than 2 minutes. We all came home and took about an hour long nap. What a good weekend!
